Will's Barbershop ("we", "us") is a barbershop with two shops in Albany, New York: 485 Delaware Ave and 113 Central Ave (Wills Barbershop 2). This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you book online, we collect what you type into the booking form:
- Your name and phone number
- Your email address, if you choose to give it
- An optional note to your barber
- The day, time and barber you picked
The shop may add the service you received, the price and short notes about the appointment in our booking dashboard.
Our server also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and request time) to keep the site secure and to block spam. We don't use advertising trackers, analytics, session recording or third-party pixels, and the site loads no outside scripts or fonts. We never ask for or store card or bank details. You pay in the shop.
How we use it
- To hold your appointment and show it to our barbers
- To contact you about your appointment by phone or email: a confirmation, a reminder the day before, and a message if we need to cancel or move it
- To protect the website from abuse
We only send messages about appointments you booked. We don't send marketing emails or text messages from this website, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
What we don't do
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with other businesses for their marketing.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers only to run the website:
- Our web hosting provider stores booking information on a private server in the United States.
- Our email provider delivers confirmation and reminder emails.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How we protect it
The website uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Bookings are visible only to our staff through a password-protected dashboard. The link to view or cancel your booking is a long random address that can't be guessed, and only the person who booked receives it. We limit how often the booking form and staff login can be used to reduce abuse. If a security breach ever affects your personal information, we'll notify you as New York law requires.
How long we keep it
Appointment records are deleted automatically two years after the appointment date. Backup copies are removed within 14 days after that. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Call (518) 436-1308 (Delaware Ave) or (518) 621-1771 (Central Ave) or ask in the shop, and we'll respond within 30 days. You can leave the email field blank if you'd rather not get email.
Cookies
Visitors aren't tracked with cookies. The only cookie this site sets is a sign-in cookie for our staff dashboard.
Children
A parent or guardian should book for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
